Rainbow Colors then crash

When I log into second life, things seem stable for about a minute. Then all the items on the screen begin to flash rainbow colors like a bad LSD trip and then calm down after a minute.

Well this repeats several times untill I finally CTD and have to log in again. I stay logged in for about 10 minutes at a time and then it crashes again. Any help or reason why?

Where might that be located? Under what tab in preference?

preference, adv.graphics , Enable VBO ( )

Causes alot of random crashes for me , but still rare, tho i see rainbow artifacts i disable it fast, could be cause i use reflective surfaces i dont know.
