What exactaly is the error message saying? Seeing that support is down you should ask a linden via email at support.

Hi!
Thanks for the response.
The message says the following:
"Second Life is unable to access a file that it needs. This can be because you have multiple copies running, or your system incorrectly thinks a file is open. If this message persists, restart your computer and try again. If it continues to persist, you may need to completely uninstall Second Life and reinstall it."
I have uninstalled and installed it.
I have tried it on my laptop and it worked but i want to use the other computer to play and not the laptop.
My computer is a P Dual Core 3.00Ghz, 1.00 Gb RAM with a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT with 256 Mb.
Thank you very much.

Hi Poliester! Try uninstalling again, run regedit and search for and remove everything with secondlife in its name (both register keys and folders). Then install SL again. Also try to clear the cache. If you still cannot start SL, clear it manually - it's located in C:\Documents and Settings\<your windows login name>\Application Data\SecondLife\cache There could also be that a system file SL needs to run is damaged or lost - difficult to say when SL doesn't tell you the name of the file. Hope these suggestions work - good luck! Lis

First off, i would uninstall SL. Then get a registry cleaner ( i recommend Ccleaner) and clear the registry entries. Install SL again and check if there is any processes running that could interfere. Ive acually had some encounters where i had to disablesome programs because secondlife was acting up with them running. Hope this helps.

Thank you all for the help.
It doesn't work because seems that there is a problem with accented words on the windows log in. I have to wait till it's fixed.
Meanwhile I'm going to play it with other computer.
