Just ran SL last night, but my video card is now unsupported?

I ran SL just fine last night, from approx. 9:30 PM EST to 11:30 PM EST. So I wake up today and get the error stating that my video card is unsupported. I'm using the same computer as last night, with the same exact video card, and I have updated all my drivers. I think I have a GeForce FX 5200, but if whatever I have was good enough to run SL last night, there shouldn't be a problem today.

Try doing a system restore to yesterday or earlier. Sounds like something got corrupted. Computers are good at that.

There was a login server change sometime yesterday. It would not be impossible for that to have changed some of the hardware tests causing it to reject your totally fine 5200.

If you had seen the new Terms of Service Accept/Reject yesterday then you had bumped into the new server. If you never got that far than there was likely a bug in the server upgrade.

I know of ne reason short of hardware failure or driver changes that your 5200 should not continue to work as. Here is what I would do in order:
  1. uninstall SL - reinstall SL - check to see if it works
  2. ensure you have the latest nVidia driver installed
  3. ensure you have DirectX 9.0c installed - check SL again
  4. open the computer case and ensure that the 5200 is firmly seated - check SL
  5. contact support by phone or email.
This presumes you have a windows box. Good luck.
