Name says it all really. Im trying to find out what the maximum stream bitrate is supported by SL. Cant seem to find it posted anywhere right now. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Of course you can't find it anywhere...because SL does not stream anything. No audio, no video.
That's why you need to have Quicktime installed. The audio stream is , so to speak, rerouted directly to your comp and reaches the QT-Player installed on your system. That's not the exact technical procedure of course, but to be short I think you can live with that explanation.
So if a land parcel you're on has a 96kb/sec audio stream, you get 96kb/sec. If it is a 160kb/sec stream, you get 160. But that's not very often due to lag, traffic limits and slow down of individual systems. Mostly the max. used stream bandwidth is 128kb/sec. which's close to CD quality (if sampled with 44.1 kHz).
