Okay, this has happened to me twice already, both with the same results, it seems like when I'm walking, somthing will get stuck in a loop, and I can't stop / change directions, and I sink into the ground. After that, boom, I can't do anything, though the viewer doesn't crash. Anyone have this issue after installing the latest update?

Sounds like you got disconnected, seen this behaviour when a vehicle cross a sim, sink down and bounce up.

Have you been able to use SL without this happening? What's your ping time? (Ctrl-Shift-1, "Ping Sim" and "Ping User"

I've been getting this too. It's not when crossing sims and I wasn't in a vehicle either.
It's not limited to getting stuck in the ground either - I've got stuck in objects the same way too.
Like everyone I've asked who isn't in North America, I do have a pretty bad ping (about 150) but that's no excuse really.

From what I understand of how SL works it most likely is the sim's fault. But even if it is caused by a temporary disconnection it's a problem and it shouldn't be happening.
