Hey, i don't know if this is common or what...but, when logging on the bar gets stuck on preparing inventory. I was re-logging cause i teleported and strangely got stuck. Map was grey, and so was everything else, couldn't teleport away either. Any suggestions?

We are aware of the problem -- the problem is with the dataserver. We fixed the cause, but it will take a few minutes for the dataserver to settle down. You should still be able to log in, it will just take longer.

Don, are you sure it's just the dataserver? There seems to be an aweful lot of things starting to happen lately mostly strange things like avatars getting stuck, teleporting, etc on an almost constant basis. I hope it's just the dataserver.

I'm still having this problem.. Cannot connect for nothing.. Hangs on preparing inventory, then drops me after trying to contact the user server.

Exact same thing is happening to me right now. It happened after I waltzed into the ocean sim right next to oak grove... I got stuck in a parallel universe and had to teleport away... then I logged out, tried to log back in and can't ...

twice today .... and no money now

This happened to me this afternoon (5:30pm est?). Got through preparing inventory (slowly), then spent a lot of time Contacting User Server ..... then go right back to the login screen with neither message nor error. I tried about 9 times (sometimes quitting the program too), and eventually got in.

Also happened tonight around 10:10pm est. After 5 or 6 time-consuming tries (same as above), eventually got in. Everything seemed normal until I tried to give Astrin Few a tip (go see Astrin in Clementina on Tuesday nights, he's great!).

I got the message "insufficient funds". In the upper right, it says "L$" (with no number). I am not rich, but I have >0 Lindens. I am going to log off again. Wish me luck.

I've Been booted no less than 20 times on 12-11-04

AND NOW I CAN'T LOG ON AT ALL I'VE RE-INSTALLED 1-5-7 ONCE,& GIVEN THE SERVERS PLENTY'O'TIME TO SETTLE DOWN,TRIED AGAIN REPETITIVELY TRIED RE-INSTALLING 1-5-4 NO LUCK DOWNLOADED & TRIED 1-5-8 TO NO AVAIL ALSO WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

With SL not running, click this .

It sometimes helps to point it at a new sim for login.

I got in for a few minutes and then got locked up again - havne't beenable to log in all day!!
