Still Can Not Log In.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, cleaned my registry, reinstalled. Sent emails to "Support", Called the number and left a voice ticket (because god forbid you talk to a real live person). Everything. It has been 3 days and I have not been able to connect to SL. Every single time. right after it checks protocol it crashes to desktop. All I have gotten are typical BS patterned responses (I've worked Tech Support before I know this song and dance). Not once, ONCE have I gotten one single shred of help. I am trying to run a business in SL. Rent for my Store and My land are due this week. This is by far the worst customer service I have EVER seen (And I worked for Dell). Needless to say I'll be cancelling my premium account when I get back into the game.

Yep, this same thing is happening to me as well. First time I've ever experience this kind of problem with the SL client. I start the app and click connect, the message "verifying protocol" is up for a bit, then as soon as it changes to "logging in..." message the whole app crashes and a crash report is generated and, i assume, sent home.

I've tried different video driver versions (including the latest and greatest,) multiple reinstalls, redownloading the software and installing, bare-bones configurations, etc. Nothing is altering the behavior of the client.

I hate to say it, but I really hope this is happening to more people than are posting to the forums, and that they are are submitting support requests. The last thing I want to see is a big shrug from LL with a note that it's not happening to enough people for them to make it a priority.

I have EMails not responded to and a voice ticket as well. Seems we have something in common!

I can't login because it won't allow logins from my computer. I consider myself a great netizen. I don't write malicious code and I don't abuse people online or get on their nerves. After this error, I was able to login 12hrs later. Lost an item from my inventory and again, can't login after attempting to relog due to graphical intolerances.

In the past I could call LL if I had issues and get in after 5mins. However, this waiting 8-10mins then being forwarded to a "voice ticketing system" is bullafiei83hfhadf.

It seems that no one in LL really cares....i experienced the same frustrations throughout this week..since i cannot stop crashing after a few minutes of running the client...my entire pc just locks up.

They have done a lot to minimize our interaction with the help and this whole we will get back to you like we would get back to a phone call business feels condescending.

My patience is running out and this situation is forcing me to change to a new computer, all this cause they don't even have the decency to return an email or phone call.

Thank God it's not just me who's been uninstalling, defragging, cleaning the registry and assuming it was my PC and not the new SL app. No SL for days now, and if a fix doesn't come along soon I may decide to call it quits. Aren't updates supposed to improve SL, rather than lock us out?

Okay, done moaning now. Carry on chaps. :)

Day 4 has started. Still have the same issue. Still have not heard from one employee of this company. I spend over 100 a month on this game. That's going to stop. I've been getting my RL friends to play. That's going to stop. I've been telling everybody I know that SL is awesome. That is going to stop. If this crud doesn't get fixed soon I am going to start hitting the blog circuits and start a smear campaign so bad it'll make politicians say "Oh Snap".

I've been having the same issue. I log in and right after I get in, I crash and my desktop nearly does as well. I've tried fixing my firewall according to the steps and ideas they gave. It doesn't help. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that doesn't help either. If anything, I'm just making the issue worse. Ever since the update, I've been unable to log on correctly and despite all the "fixes" they have done, it still refuses to work for me. I don't know why we need so many updates in the first place, it isn't helping many of us at all! I have always thought of sl as one of the greatest games I've ever found, but now with the lindens not listening and the problem continuing, I'm starting to second guess myself.

Wonders of Wonders, and I still can't get in. And dun dun dun, none of the other people who use SL in my house can either. And before you say it's on this end. I turned off the router, the firewalls, everything. Nobody can get in.


This is getting real fucking old, real fucking fast.

i´m having several bad crashes, they freeze completely my comp and i have to shut down. I know my graphs ins´t the better (ATI Radeon 9000/9100) but i'm on laptop and not going to buy another comp just to run SL, before this version i had a lot of lag and an ocasional crash to desktop, now its impossible to log.

What really makes me mad is that i've spent money inworld and now i can´t even play, thank god did´t update to prem (i was planning to so i could buy land), because it would be more money lost.
