Ok I have my 2 hour old computer before me and it makes popping noises while I play music (doesnt matter if it's from SL, a CD or from the net) but only when SL is up on the screen. I'm dumbfounded! Any idea what is causing that??

Is this because of Vista?

what sound card? do you have .. and what are your audio settings? sounds like something in your settings in SL/sound card are having issues. Can you describe the popping better?

SigmaTel High Def is the sound card. I'm not quite sure what you mean by audio settings. The noise is random and is a crackling distortion.
