Ever since the grid reopened yesterday, I have been able to log in - but once I get inworld I can't do anything. Well, that's not entirely true. I can turn my avi in a circle, and my camera controls work fine, but I can't move or teleport, and only about 1/4 of the prims in the area around me are dsisplaying at all. chat, im, search, map, help, etc are all unresponsive, and I am not seeing any network activity in either direction. I usually use a Mac, but I have tried logging in on Windows as well (and from different networks) and am getting the same results. Are other people experiencing a similar problem? I haven't seen anything on the forums. I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my account...

if you can pull up the mini map and it is red I might have some idea what is going on.
When I have had this happen it has been something called a partial disconnect. Your client thinks you are logged in to SL but the SL servers think you are not.
Most of the time it has been something in my own network setup, my isp, my firewalls, or my install of SL has gone corrupt.

Thanks for the reply. The mini-map looks normal, and I can see other avatars moving around and interacting in real time. It's almost like I'm a ghost...
