Autoupdate Woes

The autoupdate system has never worked for me. Once. Ever.

When I log in after an update has occured, I select "Download", the patcher program starts, and then I see this error:

Next step, download the entire game from secondlife.com, install, play as normal until the next "patch".

Any ideas what causes this?

I've tried disabling anti-virus and firewall before patching, with no success.

Fresh installs of the game exhibit the same behavior as well.

Also, the image tag seems to make a link instead of inserting the image, so have fun clicking the link :)

Next time click where it says "click here"

That'll give more info than the cryptic "has to close" message.

Then submit that info to support and hope for the best :D

Are you completely removing SL before installing the dl version? I usually run about 50/50 on the updates working correctly so I just go ahead an uninstall SL then upload the full version. If you are installing over previos versions there may be files that shouldn't be there still hanging around.
