can sort by date texture select window

It seems that you cant sort by date the texture select window that pops up from the edit window .
i tried every thing i can with the new inventory controls but it will not sort by date.

for nearly 2 years i have done every thing sorted by date now i can't sort by date the texture select window.

I hate this feature, it works for the inventory window but not the edit one in appearance...I have to search for each texture cause it lists them in alphabetical order instead of by date and i cant change this. FIX this please!!!!!
