As I use the Second Life client in more then a few interesting ways, I thought I would submit my long running bug list, and add onto it as I learn them. Here is some; feel free to discuss counter, or even offer suggestions.

Bug ID# 1
------------------------------------------
Deleting Objects If You Are of The Estate Controller
Description: Currently, if you don't have your edit window open and you right click on an object and hit the "DEL" key on your keyboard, the standard Second Life Client UI window asking for a Yes/No decision on the action will appear. The problem is if you leave said window open, you can click on another object and hit "Yes" then that object is deleted instead of the original object that the window was generated for.

Bug ID#2
------------------------------------------
Mute Sounds - A lying bug... :(
Description: I find that even though my client 'reports' that the sound is muted, I still hear sounds from SL, and this happens if I quit and relog with the Audio Muted.

Bug ID#3
------------------------------------------
Why does it keep lying, bad, bad SL client!
Description: Well, I just came across this after I had my SL client crashed. I have the current command line arguement set as "...\SecondLife.exe -login Fox Diller XXXXXXXXX" and it kinda lags at the "Contact User Server..." section of the login process. However, after I ignore it for a minute and come back, I get this screen. Obviously I did connect, because I can interact with the grid. The picture is at the bottom.

More To Come

Let's leave it to nothing.
Description: Currently if I have the arguement -login set on my SL client shortcut on Windows XP, and there has recently been a new viewer update, the current viewer will drop back to the desktop with no notice or offer to download the newest update.

This also tripwires me.

#2 is something I've bugreported too.

Sweet, I am hoping I can make this entire topic just bug reports for little things, but for anything that users might see as problems. Hell, I am sure that it'll be great for their team of programmers to just know what to fix instead of looking for it, or wading through the bug reports. I've submitted a bunch, but never to answer praise or whatnot. So come-on people, drop some bugs that annoy you here.

Fox, I am WITH YOU on this!

It's the little annoyances that are like termites. First they begin gnawing, but after a long time, your house may not suddenly fall into the ground—but THE FOUNDATION IS WEAKENED. It's also kinda like leaving ONE little forest fire unattended to, and walking away. Because more fires start, and soon what's left? No arboreal beauty. Just charred, rotten ex-wood.

I encourage you to keep it up, and as I come across new ones I'll post them too.

Here is an odd one. Mute the music on the parcel you are on. Now in preferences, change the memory setting for the video card. As soon as you hit apply the music will be unmuted even though the indicator says its still muted. I wonder if it is related to #2?

reboots

I've noticed that 99% of the time, if I crash, or even just log out, I normally have to reboot my system to get back in, else it hangs and errs on the Find Server Name (think thats it?) page. *shrugs* go fig?
