Since 1.7 on my PC I have been getting a stop 0x000000ea, driver in an infinite loop. I had no problems like this with 1.6. So I have been playing on my Mac. I can only assume this is related to the 1.7 update. Is there anything I can do to stop this problem or will it be addressed in a new version? Since the computer crashes and not the application... is sending the crash information any use?
Thank you
I have a Geforce 6800 and Windows XP SP2.

Hmm... probably not. So far the only feedback LL I managed to read on the forum deals with server side issues. Nothing has been said regarding client side issues other than go and get the latest drivers and making sure you have a compatible card. R

Yes I am running 81.85 now, I had 78 or so before that, and I upgraded to 81.85 to see if it would fix it. I tried to reproduce in other applications and haven't been able to, although I don't have very many games. I even signed up for the free There.com basic account to see if I could get it to crash my system but with no luck. It just seems to be Second Life.

With graphics drivers, it's always important to follow these steps:
1) Turn off Antivirus. 2) Uninstall any existing nVidia/ATI drivers in the Windows Control Panel. This will require a restart of your computer. 3) Verify that antivirus is still off. 4) Download and install the newest driver. 5) When your system reboots again under the new drivers, you may turn antivirus back on.
These steps are required by both ATI and nVidia (it's in their installer) to avoid potential driver corruption.
I know I saw the QA folks blue-screening an nVidia-equipped computer around here last week, so hopefully they're tracking down what we can do to help resolve the issue.
