Ok others seem to have this problem, but I can't tell.

When I try logging into SL I get to the prechacting part and then SL goes black and takes me back to my desktop with no crash report or anything like that.

Install that and do it again!

i did what you said and i still get this message

unable to conenct to second life
second life may be down
try agin in a few minutes or click help

Ahhh that happens time to time. I got that earlier. Keep on truckin'! Eventually you should get in... things should be better tomorrow too, it's kinda like a cereal box get all shakey up and the contents gotta settle so you can find THE PRIZE!

I do have the latest one and when it gets close to the part near the end of Precatching it just dumps me onto my desktop.

Did you clear your cache and reset login place? Do this... in Preferences Network, click on the CLEAR CACHE button and then close SL and start it up using this link:
secondlife://Ahern/
I'm curious if that'll work.

This actually sounds normal given what I've heard tonight... best of hope... it may take awhile to settle down but, it WILL! I remember similar thing happening when 1.6 came out. :)

Well clearing the catch worked for like 10 seconds then it took me back to the desktop.

Nope, the preview grid was fine no lag nothing, I was there for about 5 mintues before I logged off to try the clear cache.

Sounds like you've done a lot already too... whelp I just hope it works again for you.

I just relogged and got in right away so I dunno what might be going on here.

Now I know this is a really obvious question so please pardon me in advance... you uninstalled and reinstalled SL too, right?

Someone here at forum told me to clear all old setting in some folder.. I took ALL away.. and reinstalled SL from scratch.. and for me (cross my fingers) I can log in and I also can fly around:-)))


Still havent build a thing. Still havent shopped any shoes but so far all seams ok.. and the graphic looks better and I fly as I was fresh - and finetuned..

Yes I did uninstall then reinstall, but I found out it was where I was logging in at.
