Anyway to improve general performance?

Second Life only runs at about 8-15 FPS all of the time. I have a 256MB GeForce 6 graphics card with 768 RAM, and even with all the graphics turned down to minimum and a low resolution it still does this.

ALSO - How do you add photos to your Profile? Whenever I click it, it only allows me to select Textures, anyway to use the in-game photos I take of my avatar?

I guess there is ONLY ONE way to improve performances:

1) fire all lindens
2) hire some skilled programmers
3) roll back before voice
4) let the new skilled programmers fix the mess he previous one achieved

get a min of 2 gig ram, theres a huge diffrence for SL, but with PC3200 , that prob means you have 3x256mb(maybe 1x512+256) , so that wouldnt be easy.

Id suggest a new pc and not upgrade really ~.~ upgrade that wont last you very long.

FPS in SL is very low especially near ground, easy 5-15 fps , in sky its alot more 30+ , doesnt matter much since its not a fps so.

To get a profile texture, upload a pic then use that as texture when you browse for a texture, its pretty small sized tho, 256x256 would be ok for it.

I noticed from the screen shot you have 30+ processes running, sounds kinda high.

Your GC is a AGP and quite a low model, combined with less than 1gb ram won't help. Before you decide upgrading components, you may wish to consider making quite a considerable upgrade to the whole system.

8-15fps sounds quite reasonable given the system specs.

If you can't afford a whole system, then the two things you should focus on are RAM and your Video card.

RAM; get as much as possible. It's cheap, and there's no such thing as "too much" until you hit 4GB.

Video; The 6200 is the bottom of the line 6-series Geforce. I'd reccomend a *least* a 6600. But since that's two generations behind, an 8600 would be a much better choice for you.
