This is an odd occurance. I am trying out the preview area for the next upgrade and my avatars are going to different preview grids. Specifially, my oldest avatar is going to a preview area that has one sim, DaBoom. My newer av's are going to a map with 10 sims in it.I am using the exact same preview client so that isn't an issue.
Very strange. I hope this is just a snafu in the preview and not a omen of problems to come.
Update: I have two computers so I could use two av's at the same time. Seems they can IM and get online notifications but they can't see each other since DaDoom doesn't show up on my newer av's map nor do the 10 sims show on my older av's.

Is your newer av, newer then feb 15th, if so then they might have created a small grid for these people who were excluded before.

Both are older than Feb 15, that's just it, its my first and oldest av that seems to be segragated. Its on a single sim, Da Boom. That av has been around since May 04.

Thats very strange indeed, i did see daboom on the preview as well as the rest, they do moove sims around alot, so your lucky i guess lolol, i doubt it would carry on as its using a seperate grid on an old database, but it could have been a trasfer problem or setup issue, probably would be best to im vektor or brent linden in the preview

Sounds like your router might be passing data back and forth incorrectly. Have you tried these steps?

I am having same kind of problem to
 my friends all seems to be on an invisable island to me, where i am alone on Da Boom *cries* we've tried tp'ing each other and it fails. also when i go onto find people and type in their names they are showing not online when i know they are LOL ..... what is the point in me going onto preview if i am the only one on the sim ?btw we're all over 9 months old  |

Hmmm why would router problems only occur in a preview area and have absolutley no problem in the regular grid? Also, it happened when only one computer is online. I used two computers to test. My guess is something wasn't set correctly on the server side. Oh well, seems to not have been a problem on the main grid so no harm, no foul.
