Has anyone experienced problems with the ATI Radeon 64 video cards? I'd like to know since my new laptop has this card. Thanks!

ATI = Evil
Unfortunately SL and ATI do not play nicely together. Though it will work.
This is something LL must resolve quickly IMO.

I was just in the market for a new computer, ALL of the premade computers from the local vendors came w/ ATI cards.

I went to Dell finally to purchase my computer and had to settle for a old Nvidia card because they also try to bundle w/ ATI cards.

IMHO this is a BIG issue for the growth of SL.

I have an ATI radeon x800 pro, and have NO problems with second life, AT ALL. Infact I experiance less crashes than people with nvidia cards.

Is this an ATI Radeon Mobility 9x00 card with 64MB of RAM? As you have probable already gathered, some users have experienced stability or performance problems with ATI chipset video adapters and SecondLife. Linden Lab is aware of this and have announced plans to work with ATI to resolve these problems.

Different versions of ATI's Catalyst driver package seem to result in different stability for different users. Some users have reported good stability with Catalyst 4.5. This is what I use, and I am satisfied with my stability. Your milage may vary.
