Last night it took a very long time for a simple bikini that I have worn many times to rez. It came in half way, and just remained some colored smears for the longest time... Looked like I had used body paint instead, and then gotten it wet. I finally fixed it by changing clothes completely about six times, and then zooming in on both partially-rezzed parts. Sheesh!

I find that sometimes toggling the Appearance dialog or even the Groups setting will help, as will zooming in the camera on an un-rezzed spot, or touching an un-rezzed area.

But yes, a bug in the recent releases has caused clothing in particular, and many textures in general, to rez much more slowly. It's not your card. It's the SL client release.
