Trouble seeing some blue

I can see some blue clothes and not others, can see blue shoes.....can't see the blue carpet in my bedroom, looks brown. All my partner's blue clothes look brown to me. It can't really be a video card adjustment problem since I do see blue on some textures and not others, right? Are there any in-game settings I may have clicked by accident that would cause this. Wanted to check on that first before I check other things. Thanks.

That sounds like either a driver problem or a failing video card. Is this only in SL? What are your computer specs? You might try simply uninstalling SL completely, updating your video card drivers then reinstalling SL. This cures 80% of SL problems.

Thank you. I tried new drivers and also a monitor calibration program from Majorgeeks. Neither helped with my problem. It's something to do with some textures.....unless I've suddenly just become colorblind to some textures. All the calibrator did is make the whole screen more blue, which was no good because then my white text looks blue. All my colors are perfect except for blue on what's considered cloth in the game....blue leather, blue plastic (or whatever poseballs are made of) are clear blue...even blue parts of a book and blue jewelry.

I must have been clicking around in the client settings or something and hit the wrong thing....or just plain ole colorblind.

Thanks for the ideas to try though. Now I at least know what it isn't.

Oh I use an ATI Athlon XP 3000+ 2.17 GHz, 1 gig RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 125 gigs and I don't have the problem in any other game.

It was my monitor.....finally got another monitor to test and it proved my old Gateway was worn out. I have a nice Samsung now. Just posting in case someone has the same problem. Test your monitor first.
