I Get Logged In - Then Nothin...

OK - trying to log in on a laptop as follows:
HP Compaq NC8000
Pentium M 1.6 GH.
512 Mb. Ram
Windows XP Prof.
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro (updated with lastest drivers from HP)

I log in - get 25% of the bar loading my clothing, and then end up in my home space.
But - nothing is loaded - no money, inventory, friends, no avatar, just a couple of colors.
Wording on the bottom stating "Stand Up"
Virtually no video - can not see my avatar, not anything else. Sometimes I can zoom in to see the moon and the sun.
Search only says "searching"
I can go to tools and bring up other info.
I am logged in - but nothin. Any Help??? Thanks!

Hello all, here is my problem... I get I am going into a nervous breakdown soon if no one wants to help. I wrote to linden and used livehelp but nothing seems to interest them. I am getting upset and frustrated.


For two weeks now I have the most awful problems ever lived in SL. Lots
of bugs and problems. At the beginning I believed it was my internet
connection.

Quickly I tested all with many tests, and my Internet seems healthy and
very fast. I have the latests drivers and more that required hardware.

I have lots of issues such as ;


See with the picture what I live... I don't see nothing but the line of the horizon, no money, no inventory, no friends, no place in the top of the screen, nothing...
These days it does this to me everytime.

When all is "little better" here are my problems :
*I don't see my friends online
*I don't see their chat 1/3 sentences at the best caze and I don't see mine... cool hehe ?
*When I IM I don't see my name
*I don't see IMs fully either
*My inventory takes forever to add stuff one by one but not in everycaze... over than 12 000 items... good ?!
*Nothing rez around me
*when it rez a little if I sit down a poseball it sends me in the
middle of a strange texture where I don't see anything and writes in the
location 10.10.10...

I have checked my hardware and I have more than required. I would like
answers, advices, and more, help. Maybe support cause I feel I am turning insane.

I am not willing to leave sl at all, I have a business, friends and I
am creative so I want to improve all I already can do. I wanted to buy a
very large plot (16 000sq m) and today I wonder if it is a good idea. I ahve this
issue for couple of weeks now and feel lost. It is terribly frustrating.
I am LOSING TRUST in sl.

I am ready to try it all, whatever you advise me. I have tried to
uninstall and install again the games for few times. I need your help, it is
just awful.

Please if you Linden read this help...
I maybe don't spend thousands of dollars each months, but kinda hundreds is enough to have nothing bad as a support...

Please, and I repeat what is already told.
Fix the problems instead of offering us some new features.
We won't be mad at you LL

I have 6 months old and I lose my hope and trust in SL. I don't even remember the best times so much these last weeks kill me.

I have a smilar problem, except it's a bit worse. I cannot move or teleport out of my home location. Sometimes I appear above the ground and slowly fall through it... Forever. Also, if I do manage to teleport away, the game eventually goes into the same locked state.

I'm having this same problem. I log in and can't see myself. Can't move, can't do a thing. A real life friend of mine see's me online but I appear on his computer in some other location. I try to sit and it shows me standing on a seat on his computer. But on mine nothing happens at all. I can only rotate and use the cam.

I got work to do!

I Have having the exact smae issue, I load the game, but am unable to load my clothes so I am invisable to myself, Then I appear in the same grid as my last location, but at the 10,10,10 spot on the map (Which is underwater) The the ground sort rezzes under me, in about a 20 foot area, then....nothing
Nothing else loads, not even if I wait for over an hour. This happens each time, for over 20 attempts in a row. Can't move, but can look around at all the nothing, that is pretty much it. Also accordding to my feed bar in the corner, I have 0 connection speed, which is sort dissproven by the fact I am even able to both this. My connection is around 550-650 depending on the time, and yes I used a web test to check it each time this happens, So what is going on???

I have the same problem... any idea how to fix this? Im trying to play Sl for 5 weeks but i cant move or see my avatar.

It'd be bloody nice if a linden or some kind of tech support got off their ass and actually READ and DID something about this post. It's a MAJOR issue!

Mine has just started doing it also! I've noticed that my ping user time is ok (200msec) but my ping sim time keeps growing (highest i've recorded it at is 255 ... SECONDS!). I can't move, the sim only half rezzes, i don't rez at all and i never see anyone.

Sometimes my messages go through, most times they don't. After about 5-10 minutes of sitting there waiting, my bandwidth ultimately drops to 0k and that's it. I'm boned. I have to close (why the hell there isn't a log out feature yet I don't know) SL and re-log back in just to start the whole process again!

Hello all, it seems we have the same problem, and when will it be fixed I don' t know.

I just had my computer checked up to investigate if it was my computer.
No way to log in sl...

It seems connection problems cause nothing rez, I don't have bandwidth, I don't see anything more than the line of the horizon, no friends, no money, no place, just 10.10.10... But

My ISP told me that my line was great, and I believe it cause I tested it myself. I have very fast DSL and it works pretty well.

As always sl works very late and very early to me. I don't know why it won't let me.

Please try to find solution, help, or advice, just ideas...

I am being totally frustrated by a month of unworking sl, and certainly again and again...

Sorry to be bumping this thread but I'm wondering if any of you found a solution.

I can log on but that's all. Sometimes I'm invisible, sometimes not; sometimes my surroundings are greyed out, sometimes not. My inventory is empty, I can't move or talk and some of my friends can see that I'm logged on while others can't.

I have Pentium M Processor 1400MHz
768 MB RAM
Mobility Radeon 9000 Graphics Card

Anyone else having these problems or an explanation even? Thanks in advance for any help!

all day yesterday i have been having this same problem. i connect to the game fine, its just one particular sim (topgol). i can get into any other sim just fine, but when i cross the Topgol sim line, i get the connecting to sim screen forever. when it finally loads, im at 10, 10, 10 and nothing but water. no inventory, nothing! its weird cause tuseday i was fine. then yesterday is when all this mess started.

running xp, geforce 7600 gs, 3.5g memory, amd athlon 64 3000
all drivers are up to date.

hope there is a fix soon. my home is there, i can even get to it anymore.

looked at my log, and i found this on half the report-

i think that circuit is broke or something.

I had the same problem: no clothes, no textures, could not move me.
Then I found the problem on Norton Firewall: I installed Secondlife after Norton Firewall. It has blocked Secondlife. I gave manually acces to the internet and now it functions.
I hope you understand my bad english, and I could help some.

Don't know. Did any one suggest uninstall and reinstall. Might work.
