Sound Blaster Audigy 2 crackling sounds

I discovered a serious problem with my Audigy 2 Platinum, and latest creative driver 2.08.0370, all sounds and music in SL crackling and it's pain for my ears, so reading the forum i discovered that the *ONLY* workaround for this unsolved issue is to set Program Compatibility to: Windows NT 4(SP5) but this is absurd... can Linden tech support look for fix this issue?

dont blame LL that creative cant make drivers that work, grr always something wrong with their drivers nowadays, been using soundblasters since they began making them.

Great cards (hate onboards so crappy compared), though i can always something that ticks it off, right now i have this .

Mine keep loosing speaker settings all the time (audigy4)

randomly switches every time i log on.

Google it youll see youre not alone with this issue, but other have issues with other games, excact same cards.

Soundblaster can get issues with some irq's if they are in use and make wierdness, yeh i have gotten crackling sounds on all the soundblasters i had, solution was either replace, move them around, new / older drivers, or set irq in bios,

Eh i remember setting irq's in dos on these -.-

I have Audigy 2 ZS and it used to crash SL. I lower the Direct X accceration to Standard Acceration and it works fine afterward. Run->DXDIAG->Sound
