Is there any way to change where SL decides it should cache itself? At the moment I've found it's eating my C drive, which is not something I want or like as I move my virtual memory to a dedicated hard drive for speed. Having memory and programs on the same drive slows things down so I want to move this directory elsewhere.
You should be able to move the cache from c:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\SecondLife\
To elsewhere.
Not that cache is used properly anyways.

SL uses the window default store for your cache...as it should (standards are nice to use!) But if you want to move.. http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=How%20to%20move%20the%20Second%20Life%20cache

I considered linked directories, but never found a tool in windows to do it, thanks. There's nothing standard about using the windows drive as a massive cache store. Most of my DX games cache stuff in the folders they're installed in, GuildWars, UT2004 etc. I have a large games partition for a reason.
Wellt he cache files have joined the pagefile on drive Z.
Thanks again. I glazed over the wiki but didn't think such a technical explination would be there. Sorry.
