Shift doesn't work to add to selection set

Before 1.6 I could select a prim, and use Shift to keep it in the selection set while using my mouse to select a second prim. Now as soon as I make a second click the yellow border disappears from the first prim.


Deana and Altruisma Linden tried to figure it out, then recommended a post here. I tried different comps and different avatars, but the problem was present on each. Bug report submitted.

It's possible to get additional prims into a selection set by following specific steps only:
Use right click to select the first, click edit for that prim, left click on next one, and so on. Never used to have these requirements....
