Had a email today, stating there is a lot of shouting going on from the techies in security labs around the world about an email being spammed to ppls. Microsoft have called it Severe High Risk (not confirmed), the Subject of the email is either Merry Christmas or Merry Xmas, it contains something that when the email is opened, downloads a code which executes on the users system and wipes out the track 0 of your HD making it unusable.
Anyone else heard this?

Yes, I've heard of it. It's a hoax false virus report. http://www.hoax-slayer.com/merry-christmas-virus-hoax.shtmlI've seen similar ones before - I think the "log fire" reference kinda gives this one away doesn't it? I just delete these straight away.
