I heard from many places that SL uses ALOT of download memory as basically everything needs to be downloaded as obviously the world is somethign that is created over the internet and not stored on a disc or a file on my own pc.
My download limit is 50gig per month shared between 5 people. I know theres many many varibles involved in SL bandwidth usage, such as how busy the places I go to are and how long I spend in each area. But if anyone can offer me a rough estimate it will be very helpful

So, as an example, if I was to play for lets say 3 hours once every 2 days and visted a few parcels with a common amout of avatars and objects as to be expected whilst playing SL, what would you guys recon my total download usage for a moth would be. Hehe, I know this is a bit of a weird question, but I really would like to know exactly how much SL I will be able to play without maxing out my share of the broadband and pissing off my housemates

Also, any advice you might give whilst in game to reduce my downloads? I have increased the limit of my cache as Id presume the more stuff I can get loaded into there the less I would need to download in places that I frquently attend. Am I correct in this presumtion? And would such actions as reducing graphic detail or quality have any effect on reducing downloads also?
Thank you for your time
