On early saturday morning I re-logged , only to get the message "Failed to load body part <my shape's name>" . I then appeared with my skin but the body of a little girl!!! My body shape appears in inventory but when I try to wear it I get the message "Failed to find body part <my shape name> in database".
I didn't have a backup copy as it was a no-copy item. I have no idea where to buy another because it was a gift from someone no longer in SL.
I don't know if it had anything to do with this - earlier I was trying on old clothing-item shapes (eg shapes that are named as t-shirts & such and you were them a a new t shirt appears on you) then deleteing them to clean up my inventory. I coudl have sworn I took them off before deleting them but surely that wouldn't effect my main, proper shape?
Any suggestions? Anyone know where I can buy a "pimp pimp on" shape?

right click on the wierd skin, and copy uuid if you can, and send that to bug, they can easy restore it as long as they have that.
If you cant get a uuid it will take abit longer to do, but its usually fixed after awhile as long as you let them know your inventory got issues, sometimes they move inventories around to faster (o.o?) one and some things get left before.
Also try clearing SL' cache relog and log in, then search for something to force a refresh of inventory to kick the asset server to give you a complete list, might not do squat but worth a try, worked a few times for me when things arent showing up but i know they are there -,-
Right click skin > properties , shows who made it, usually creators have their store info in picks.

Yes, I reported it as a bug so we'll see what comees of that.
The "Copy Asset UID" option is greyed out.
The creator button on the shape's properties is greyed out and the creator name reads as "Unavailable".
I'll try searching in the invent.

Nope, searched my inventory , found my shape and it still doesn't work.

Rebake your avie textures...........in your client or old debug menu. That should work.
