Read more carefully, that exploit is over a year old and majority of shoutcast users have been using 1.9.5 already for quite some time.

Here's a real vulnerability - if someone is running a private streaming server (or has access to the logs), and you are listening to it, they have your ip address. By correlating times, and using logging scanners, it would be pretty easy in in various cirumstances to tell who's alt belongs to whom. :D
