Permissions Change upon Rez but not Attach

OK, I made a ring recently. The rings themselves are Modify/No Copy/Xfer.
It contains another object that is No Modify/Copy/No Xfer.

As long as the next owner just attaches the ring the overall perms stay Modify/No Copy/Xfer.

But if they rez it, the perms go No Modify/No Copy/No Xfer.

I want the ring to be modifiable and transferrable. But when they rez it to modify it the perms change. The item inside must be Copy. Will I have to change its' perms to Modify/Copy/Xfer to make this work? If so, I'm out of luck because those perms on that item make the product exploitable. They will be able to manually drag that object out, copy it and resell it as much as they want.

Permissions always obey the most restrictive permission. For example, if you have a box that is no-copy, modify, transfer and it has a script in it that is no-transfer, the object can not be transferred. I would check to see what the permissions on the scripts, textures, linked prims are and modify them accordingly.
