One of my friends keeps hanging at the "Connecting to region" message for about an hour, then crashes. Cleared cache, setting it to another region, nothing helps. Any suggestions?

Could be modem related. I posted a few days ago about setting your ethernet card (if you connect via ethernet cable to your modem) to a fixed speed. It helped me, in the previous version anyway... can't get in without losing connection myself right now.
