Since february i'm using Vista home Premium with a Radeon X1600 Series with the newest driver and Catalyst 7.3. When i installed Vista, Second Life stopped working when trying to log in with the usual error message.
After a while, i needed to reinstall Vista. Now, i launch Second Life, it sais "detecting hardware" and then... nothing happens. In the task manager, second life is listed as a process, but no task is shown and i can't open it.
I installed VistaSL 1.14.0.0, that was postet on this board, but that didn't change anything.
Does anyone know what to do?

The usual Vista+Ati problem, they need to get a opengl that actually works.

There is not even an error message, there is just nothing. Second life is running as a process, using alot of system resouces (about 75%) but is not a task. I never heard, that there is not even an error message. It sais, that Second life should run, but it just does not.
In another threat i reat, that with the newest driver and catalyst software, it should work, but it does not. There was a programm postet calles VistaSL 1.14.0.0. I installed that but it still does not change a thing. I heard that installing a XP-driver should solve the problem too, but that does not work either.
Second life isn't running for 2 months now. Alot of people should be worried about me not coming on anymore and its starting to piss me off.
