EDIT Mode Shortcut keys causing porblems

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the edit window, specifically when using shortcut keys CTRL+3 CTRL +4 , when CTRL+3 is used to open the build menu, then i try to select a cube for example, and instead of picking the cube, it jumps to FOCUS mode!!

It happens at random as is extremely annoying and counter productive. Same thing happens when i try to CTRL+4 to copy, then click the "copy selection" box, instead it jumps to focus mode, and does not copy.

And even more randomly it goes to select texture option instead of select.

It started with the most recent update, its frustrating I cant build properly.

Anyone else have this or am i alone.....
