For thouse that cant connect still please make shure you are upgraded to 1.7.0(52) There was an update late last night and apparently the auto updater or something dident kick in... this is much the case wnen users use an auto login icon... Eather way make shure you have 1.7.0(52) not 1.7.0(51) If it still doesnt connect please note that more than likely its the login server being flooded than a bug... Happens at every major update. Also after your able to log in please note that you mak move slow. This is dew to the lindens haveing to adjust for the full grid insted of the petrie dish they use for preview Also teleports may be unavailable. Agine adjusting for size diffrences. Sorry if I am sounding like a broken record but its not the first time this has happened and wont be the last... 1.8, 1.9, exc... From the Lindens Track record it may be tomarrow or friday before it stableizes... Who knows we may get lucky and get the magic update or fix after I finish this post.

Well... I can't download the patch cuz the updater crash's on me. Emailing tech support is USELESS. Hey Sam!! ... Anywho. They really need to put up a patched client OR a manual install patch. And hire better tech support that isn't going to treat ppl like retarded moron's and hand out useless computerized bullshit responses. I love you too Sam. |

For anyone who crashes with the updater (like I do, despite having tried numerous things already), go to:
http://secondlife.com/download
Get it from there manually. That's the complete Second Life installer, latest version.

ok, but the thing is... I have 1.7 already. I can log on. I cant do anything, but I can log on. I can't update cuz the updater crashes. Where's the manual install for the already patched client??

Check your version number by clicking on ABOUT in Preferences, if it doesn't say Second Life 1.7.0 (52) Oct 24 2005 19:01:52
Then you don't have the latest (up to this point in time). If it says Second Life 1.7.0 (51) then YOU SHOULD GO AND DOWNLOAD RIGHT AWAY! |

I should also point out... It's not just sl that's slow. It's my entire client. I can't click a button without an almost 1 minute wait before it actually does sumthing sumtimes. I've gone through the 1.6 upgrade. I kno how it is. I'm not even complaining about that. I'm complaining about this new client itself lagging. Seriously. How does sumthing on ur local machine lag to hell?
