I was playing SL normally this morning, then i stopped for a lunch break, when i came back, i couldn't log in... im getting stuck at the Loading Second Life window... the one that appears when you use the .exe... it just freezes up, and i have to use CTRL + ALT + DEL to finish it.

I got a P4 HT 2.6ghz, 1024mb RAM, and a radeon 9600 Series AGP with 256mb, and my connection and my drivers are working just fine.... i also didn't touch any of my configurations, so it kind of "broke" by itself. anyone can give me a hand here?

Thanks

Since you have asked three times all I can do is offer this suggestion....

Do a total re-install....Delete SL entirely...delete the cache also. Remove the proggy from any firewalls. Once you are totally clean...download the file again directly from the website. Install it...then go and hand tune your firewall for it.

Although this is rather extreme..I have had to do this on occassion and it did seem to resolve issues.

SL has recently had some driver recognition issues with Radeon cards as I have the 9500 with 1 meg on it. Maybe this will settle things up.

Im sure there are other techies out here that might have a better suggestion..maybe they can chime in.

Good Luck!

I have an nVidia and was also fine earlier in the day but I can't get back in now.

A while later ... I restarted my pc and all's well :)
