I just downloaded the 1.5.6 update, and now all I can see of my own avatar, or anyone else's avatar, are hair and eyeballs - but no bodies.
Coincidentally, I also just updated to OS 10.3.6. I don't know which one of the two made this happen. I tried re-logging, and clearing the SL cache, to no avail.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I found a solution for this problem. For now, the "Avatar Vertex Program" checkbox in the Edit->Prefs->Options menu must be unchecked. That will keep you visible. Strange but true. I hope there is a fix for this in the upcoming 1.5.7 release.
