Can't create friend's account - now the name's gone

Hi!
I just tried to create an account for a friend using my pc. It all went well but in the last step second life said that he wasn't able to create an account.
The problem is that now the name of the avatar is "taken" and we cannot delete the "ghost" account to re-try.
Is this due to the fact that i already registered my account with this pc?
My mother created her account last week from the same pc and she hadn't have problems!

Just try another name

This happened to my GF too...we picked a name we wanted, submitted...and then something timed out...so we tried to re-do it, only the name was taken...and for some reason we couldn't retrieve the information and/or password.

We had to go with another name.
