Ok, ya im a newb, been playing less than a week, so I went around and collected some free stuff so I could practice making items, I wanted to look at the scripts and get some ideas for an art project ... .SOOO.. I rezzed an item, its a design that twirls around and has very little mass to it just pretty strings of color.. well it was lost under the ground since last night, but now that the area has been rebooted, I can see it, but I still cant target it so that I can delete it. My landlord is gone for a week so he cant move the lawn for me to get it.. Is there any way I can target the items around me without actually clicking on them cause clicking only gets me the land under the item .. thanks in advance if you have any suggestions.

(Ctrl-Alt-D or Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D to get the Client/Server debug menus up if you don't have them already) There's a few ways you can get the item out of the ground: 1) check Client / Disable Camera Contraints - will let you pan under the land but assumes you're somewhat proficient with the camera 2) uncheck Client / Rendering / Types / Surface Patch (from memory so it may be under a different sub-menu ) - will hide the actual land (just recheck it to turn things back to normal) 3) click Build and then Select from the Edit window and drag a rectangle over the spot where you think the item is. Once it's select you can either use the arrows to drag it back out, or just hit the Delete key on your keyboard to delete it. ---- If it's burried use either 1 or 2, if you can see it but not select it (I'd actually suggest zooming in on it closely in that case and selecting it) you can try 3 but do be careful that you don't select anything else around you that you may have rezzed. The best way would be to face away from anything else nearby that you have rezzed and then just draw the selection rectangle so that it encompasses the prim. (Hope that made sense, I'm getting tired )
