Hi,

I want users registering on the site i'm building to use their SL name and therefore need to make sure that they don't register one that doesn't exist or someone elses.

Forum systems usually require an e-mail address to send a verification email. Is it possible to have such a message fire off to an IM in SL instead?

Thanks,

Lhor

The usual solution is to ask them to visit an object in-world (give them a SLURL to click on), and have them click on it or chat some message at it in-world so it can llEmail or llHTTPRequest to your server letting it know that they've completed the verification step.
