!@#! Anybody else having sound issues since update!? !@#!

For the record, sound was working FINE before the update! Been out of SL for awhile, just downloaded the update today... and since, when running SL, there's no sound, and not JUST in SL... when SL is running, I can't get sound from ANYWHERE on system... system sounds, yahoo audibles, voice chats, you name it! As soon as I close SL there's sound again. Using a Sound Blaster Audigy mp3+ sound card with Quadrophonic setup (6 speakers configured as 4).

Anybody else having issues like this?

PS - checked the troubleshooting wiki, etc... nothing in there about no sound while SL is running!

OMG... think I found the problem!!! If I change Quadrophinc to Desktop speakers I can get sound working outside of SL... but then I'm only using 2 speakers of 6!!! I hated it when I couldn't use quad in There... but at least in There even WITH quad, I could still hear things in There (albeit faintly) and around the rest of the system... running quad in SL nerfs the whole of system sound!? Come on!!!! This is insane!!!!
