Look at this mess. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and it's getting worse. My friend in this picture keeps ending up covered in these pixellated, mostly red, stripes. This happens to various parts of his body, most often while changing clothes. Does not happen ALL the time, but increasingly more frequent. Tried removing everything, tried ruthing and starting over, clearing cache, changing viewers, anything we could think of. Changed shape, skin, clothes, relogged, rebooted. The designer of the skin already swapped it for him, without making a difference. Can't be his video card because other people see it to. The nearest I can figure is that it has something to do with layers, because it happens when clothes or skin is changed. The yellow stripe on his pants is new and happened when he put on a t-shirt that had some of that yellow color on it. Sometimes the stripes are vertical, and at other times horizontal. Sometimes they are barely visible in shades orange and yellow. Any idea what's going on here?

My avi has frequently been covered with a screen shot when I click on something. It never covers my head, just the rest of my body. The menu bar will be up around my neck. It usually goes away when I re bake textures, Ctrl+Alt+R. Strange, huh?

From: Brann Georgia Can't be his video card because other people see it to. Avie texture baking happens client side with the help of your video card (the result is then uploaded and that is what everyone else will see on you), so unless it also happens on an entirely different puter, the video card/drivers is a very likely culprit.

Kitty's probably right (she usually is, lol!). If the problem is still seen after rebaking on another computer, then there may be something wrong with his avatar. Sometimes it can help to start over with a new one, be sure he has his shape etc. all saved and knows what they are before doing this:
Client > Character > Character Tests > Test male (or female) > relog > Log back in > Put back on your things
This gives you a new default avatar to start from. I would recommend that before putting on his Body Parts (skin, shape, etc), he try clothing.
Good luck.
