Hi,

Is it just me, or, has crossing sim borders become about 5 times the effort since the update? I tend to go sailing on over the sim I'm entering for a *lot* longer than I used to - sometimes long enough so my camera flies over the sim *beyond* the one I'm entering before coming right.

:) I have the exact same problem. It seems to get worse the longer I have been running SL. Also, the more prims I have on, the more it happens. With my dragon avatar, I can't cross sim lines at all... I simply crash. It's very horrible that I have to teleport to a spot instead of take one step forward in order to cross sims. :P

I agree with Jordan. The number of attached prims can slowdown sim-to-sim exchanges considerably. I have a raptor avatar...with a flexi mane...dressed in a flexi kilt, sash and permanently attached bagpipes. :D I dread to think how many prims it consists of in total, but flying into a different sim often causes it to visually divebomb, before finally jerking back to its proper location looking like a skinned rat with _zero_ prims....at which point I have to wait for the whole thing to rez again. I rarely suffer this problem when in human form, although short (approx. 2-5 second) delays are common.

When flying across sims, detach as many prims as possible. Having said that, I've noticed recently that crossing sims on the central continent seems a lot laggier than crossing sims on the other two continents.
