So. Exploring for me in SL is a frustrating process, because if I fly for a distance of a few sims or so, I always, ALWAYS, do one of the following:

1) total client freeze, requiring a restart.
2) Errorless CTD
3) Errorless CTD, generating a crash report.

This is without fail. Every other program on my computer runs flawlessly (games, music software, network applications, etc.)

Phoenix Linden once remarked to me on IRC that my crash logs seemed to indicate "mangled network data".

This doesn't sound good, but I don't know what it is, exactly, or how to fix it.

This has only happened the last few patches or so.

Please fix this ASAP, it's getting really annoying to do anything in SL except stay in grignano.

Out of curiosity, are you using any wireless networking? Have you tried analyzing the connection between you and Second Life?
