I have a large script I have been working on for a long time with someone and it has gone missing from the database. So says a pop up when I try to open it. Even my backups of this script are gone.
I have bug reported so it is now in a sea of millions never to be seen again.
But I'd like to know if anyone else is having similar issues and if anyone has had it fixed before.
Thanks.

Update: I found an old draft of the script and it opens just fine. But it is so old I might as well start over. That will take months. Yet the main script and the backups still come up missing from the database. Even so, they work in SL as if they exist. Why would this be?

Just another reason why i lost faith in LL , their inventory just doesnt work , after loosing 100's of scripts its just no point in trying to create anything as this inventory seems to be made of holes. Script in some objects still work, but when you try to edit the script it comes up as "missing in database" , so fed up with their updates that never fix a thing like this, they want people to create content?, how about a inventory that actually keeps prims/script/anims there instead of random dissapearing would be a damn start. Linden Labs , pheh more like "Do you know where your inventory is today?, cause we sure dont".

It's a long shot, but have you tried opening the script on the beta grid?

Yes, the "script missing" is a variant of the general "item missing from database" issue. I list the relevant Jira bugs below; you may wish to go vote for one or more to be fixed if you haven't already. If you want instructions on how to vote, just post again to ask.
Personally, I keep a backup of all the scripts I've created on my local disk. Since I generally use LSL-Editor for the initial coding, this is not hard for me to do. But even when I tweak them inworld, I keep a copy locally.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The JIRA issue # is SVC-553, "numerous reports of objects, notecards, scripts, gestures "missing from database". Many people have filed bugs on this, but they are all being marked "resolved" and folded into this bug. So, please, go vote -- LL seems unaware that this is suddenly at epidemic levels.
Also relevant is Bug SVC-114, recently retitled "Meta-Issue: Inventory Loss: issues, fixes, development". This relates particularly to the no-copy-item-disappear-on-rez nastiness.
The third relevant bug is one requesting per-resident inventory backup: VWR-358, "New feature -> Inventory -> Back-up/Export"

Its a work around - at it shouldnt have to be - But.. Have you tried going to inventory, rightclick/Copy your script, and then right click paste it? It may make the new copy come back for you. Ive noticed with my Copy enabled items, MOST TIMES (not all *sigh*) this seems to bring them back from the dead.
Hope this works for you, i would go nuts if i lost scripts :/

Couldnt give a rats about Jira , voting on something that is spose to be working in first place? hello logic, i dont get how LL get their priorities nowadays, must be all the money people keep paying for crappy service, having to VOTE on something that should always work ist just laughable service, its like they dont have a clue it even exsist! , yeh right cut me a break Time and time after update they shown their so called "resolved" rarly last more then a week then its shoved back into "Jira" list and it will stay there till it rot or it get enough vote, so yeah LL just shows they have no control over SL anymore over and over every update. Jira = some bug get enough vote, they "resolve" or "fix" it for one update, less then a week its broken again, and back it goes, yawn. Sorry i been here long enough to see what these so called SL updates spose to do , and they rarly work. Sooo why should i care about voting on Jira when their update "fix" never eeever work for very long.
