Ever since I entered some random sim, this has been happening. They're almost like beacons - red green and blue, circular, pyramidal shapes that only I can see are emitted from my avatar, and red ones come from the environment, and random objects.

Try pressing Ctrl Alt Shift U,that toggles showing updates.
