Whilst logging onto my main sl name this morning i got asked to reset my password but i couldn't remember my security question....now i'm locked out of my account.

I live in the UK and i can't ring america to sort out the problem, i've sent an email and hope i get a reply.

Anyone else had this problem and what did they do?

I too was prompted to change my password but when I attempt to do so, no security question is offered and I'm told that my current password is invalid. Nope- it's valid and current. So, I can't log into SL, can't change my password, don't even get a security question when I do attempt to change the password ?????

Completed and issue ticket - but wonder how long it will be before any assistance is given???

Click to ask for password reminder, you get an email with the link to the page. I had this as well, there are 3 security questions there, I only answered one of them which was enough to let me change my password and enable me to log in. I also read on one of the other threads regarding passwords that the password error was going to ber sorted out soon. Keep trying is all I can suggest.

I'm not sure why resetting a password is such a big deal. If this ever happens to my main account, I'll probably just end up leaving SL.

If that does not work go to the SL website and click log in, then click "forgot password"? Then you get a email with a link to click, from there you fill in the security question and set a new password.

It is odd though that some people had this issue and others didn't. For example I had had to do it, yet I know others didn't. For me it happened around 8pm SLT as I had loged out just a bit ago and tried to get back in only to find I had to reset my password. Even stranger still, no mention of this issue on the blog.

Ive tried all that

but to no avail..ive just called but SL has changed and it's no longer accepting calls. I've had to make another profile.
