I got logged out trying to teleport and now it says "Verifying protocol version..." then times out and a box pops up saying "SL may be having technical difficulties and may be unavailable", but the grid status says its online...anyone else having issues right now?

It's working again.

I'm really set up because there is no blog entry or a status reflection on http://secondlife.com/status in such cases.

I Think It Is Windows Update

I closed SL to run Windows XP Update as prompted. Following the update I had the same problem.

Using System Restore (it is in the Help and Support Bit of XP) I first created a new restore point and then went back to that created automatically at the time if the Windows XP update.

I am now back into SL.

Yes it could hav been the serevrs but if you saw something about Packet Loss it could also be one of the security updates applied to your PC!
