Ok, so SL has been fine ALL night and all of a sudden the sims around me go red and I relog, and it happens again, so i relog, then I can't move as soon as I log in... so again I relog and then, GRR, I can't log in at ALL.
It refuses to pass the region handshake part of the login process and simply says Login Packet not receied by the server.
Is this an SL issue or my stupid wireless issue? It's been happening on and off for weeks now, but it was fine yesterday after the update and most of tonight!
This is getting really tiresome now, I just wanna log in!
Any tips or suggestions would be fab, thank ye.

it's both actually ,
server and your lan could be at fault
this happend to me a few times before
when my lan was fine
and a few times when my lan was acting up ..
so we can blame everything for the misfotune but t's a known issue and i wish linden would answer better for us to understand the causes

I been Doing it all Day with Packet Loss Nothing is wrong with my DSL i called then and they said its fine. I reset it as well i log back in and it has to be on your end .
There is also Issues with the Inventory with things Deleting from it and Major Major lag.

Ok, so it started working this morning JUST FINE, I clear my cache cos SL screws my textures up and quelle surprise, login packet not received again and I bomb at Region Handshake.
Any chance a Linden might reply to this, I'm not holding out hope, but you know, some of us would like to find out whats wrong.

this is happening to me too, i would really like to know why, as i am co-ordinater at my work place in sl i really need to get online.
could one of the may Lindens please give us an explanation?????

i can't seem to get on either.
The sim i was in was down when i first logged in, and i was brought to Korea sim, after a while i tried teleporting back home (to the sim i was in that was down) and i got logged out of SL, now i try to log into SL with my character, it doesn't work, i get hung on waiting for region hangshake and i get the Login Packet not receied by the server message.
I've tried on 2 different computers, 2 different avies, and i even tried MY internet connection, and my neighboors internet connection. I don't get what could be happening?
