My computer seems to have become addicted to crashing. Is there a 12-step group in-world for depressed graphics cards? Seriously, if there is someone who can tell me how to show you what my machine is made of then I will post it here and take your advice. I've been reading previous threads and I don't know if any of it applies to me.
I played yesterday for the first time for several hours (yay!) and had no problems at all. I flew around, I transported, I danced, I stripped (naughty!), I made friends and changed clothes - no worries. Today I can't even walk inside a building.
Thanks for any assistance.

I would love to.
Toshiba Satellite laptop ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700 Series Atheros AR5004G Wireless Network Adapter Mobile Pentium 4 512 MB RAM Win XP
Would you like to know anything else? I am connected wirelessly to my neighbor's computer (we split the cost) so I can't connect with a wire. I have read in the Forums that Omega drivers might help. Should I download them? Also, remember everything worked fine last night.

Have you tried reinstalling SL? Also, is there any thing that you do that causes a crash, ie open a folder, make a gester, or something like that? Part of the problem may be the wireless connection, try connect via a LAN line instead. Try to connect at your neighbor's hub, just to see if that maybe the issue.

I bet the crashing is the video drivers. Video drivers are surprisingly intolerant with incompetence.
I would update them with the stock drivers first, see if that works, and then try the Omega drivers.

I had the most recent ATI drivers for my card so I downloaded the Omega drivers and crash no more! Also, the resolution i much clearer. Really beautiful.
Thanks to everyone for your help. Come dance with me at Starlight!
