I lost 130k while trying to buy a Land.

Sorry for my limited english,

I have try to buy a land 1024 for 10'000L$, in spite of several attempt the sale with failed for a reason that I am unaware of, i'm not the owner but i have lost 130'000L$.

I'm not the only one to have wanted tried to buy this land, we are several to have lost a lot of money.

I would be refunded of 130'000 L$

Sounds like some kind of land sale exploit. 10k for 1024m is below market value...could be a lure.

I think your best bet is to contact the person who has your money and ask for it back. If they refuse, AR incessantly until LL hears you. Have the other people do the same.

i lost 20k. At the first time the debit dont was showned by the linden lab interface. I didi it again and i was logged off. When i came back my 20k was stoled.

I'm one of the others ripped off in the same sim....It was below the current market about 9.8 per sqm so I bought it, I waited some minutes to get it and nothing happened, I sent a lot of IMs to lindens and sent already some email to the support service, but nothing happened yet, luckily they stole me just 10k. I know personally 40 people that lost their money in the same way on the same sim...so u are all invited to post here I think if we are many they well be forceed to refund us

I am out 60,000. Same place and time as the rest of these good folks.

It is sad that there are bad people out there, but it is down right deplorable that LL has created a payment system that has no problem taking your money but has alot of problems transferring the asset. Everyone knows that this occurs but 99.9% of the time, the owner makes it right. The current payment system is no different from creating a dark back alley where criminal activity flourishes but claiming "we did nothing wrong". This system is so easily exploited, it isn't even funny anymore.

Do we know who this person was that has our money? No. Does Linden Labs know and have a credit card that they could charge back?.... yes. It remains to be seen what LL does, but my bet is on nothing and ignoring any request for help.

You can't have a payment system that is based on "good faith". Can you imagine what would happen if the credit card payment system only actually transferred the funds some of the time?

Only recourse is contacting support. No one reading this forum can help you.

well, in my opinion actually LL could ask paypal to freeze land seller money transfer, if he didnt yet transferred them on another SL account....anyway we should massively ask LL for a refund...I am going to create a group for this so we can keep in contact...Its the second time they steal my money this way and I'm 59000 L$ down now...I cant stand it anymore were talking about 230 dollars in RL....anyway they just could track money transfer and refund us....this is just unfair, its not our fault if this system sucks

The land was group owned which means that LL still has not distributed the proceeds until overnight tonight. I suggest everyone email them and demand that they freeze the distribution of the Eden Park group proceeds until this is settled.
