Well, it's not "my" sim, of course, but someone has moved in and started one of those newbie "free money" dancing things.

Typically, people camping there is about 40.

Question: how many of these "campers" before my sim is impacted with connectivity issues?

TIA

Mainland sims have a capacity of 40 avs, if I'm not mistaken. Once that capacity is reached, you will be unable to enter the sim until someone leaves. Period. Doesn't matter that you own land there. LL has said they are "looking into" methods for relieving this. I'm not holding my breath.

TY Seraph. I was afraid of that. I may be selling my land soon because I am getting many failed TPs. Sucks. :(

I will add that if you really like your land, it might be worth trying to wait it out. Mainland turns over fairly fast in SL. I just had some obnoxious gits put up huge castles right at the border of the land they purchased, completely obliterating the view for many of us. But it may turn over -- that much land isn't cheap.

As an alternative, you may want to investigate the various private estates that lease/rent land. While the estate owner can always reclaim the land, some of them are very established with good reputations so would not ever do this. On private estates there are usually covenants that limit what can and cannot be built -- many are strictly residential.

Unless someone owns a huge chunk of mainland, you are never sure. (I also have land in a sim that is entirely owned by a friend. Haven't had any problems there.)

Good luck!

eh this reminds me of a new way to force people to sell land -.-

sign up alot of accounts,

log them all in same sim
(you can log alot of avatars easy on one pc with minimize & -login)

camp the sim so no one can ever log in or teleport to it

watch them sell land, feh... hope this isnt a new trend
