Im runnind SL on Vista, using the XP SP@ compatibility mode. I am experiencing many problems that make the game unplayable. All of the other MMORPG i play run just fine.

I have Nvidia 7800 and when i log into SL I have many movement and gameplay problems such as:

-My avatar sometimes doesnt render at all, 3rd person view shows nothing just a name tag

-Movement is sluggish and unresponsive. Sometimes when I tap forward key it moves me 2 steps, sometimes it moves me in that direction for 10 seconds. Sometimes it appears to move me far away then it snaps back to original position.

-Some objects dont render fully, for instance the bridges on orientaion island look half open space.

-I cant seem to interact with normally clickable objects things that say "click me" do nothing when clicked. Also I cant get rud of that "Orientation Island Help Map" on the left side of the screen. Again, clicking on the close button does nothing.

Sometimes while walking I sink through the ground, sometimes it snaps me back to the surface sometimes I just stay in the water.

Help anyone? this seems like an unbelievably awesome concept for a game but I cant play it!!

i promise you once you try Vista you will not want to go back. Its just really nice looking and very sleek. If you havent seen Aero UI you will be amazed at how good it looks. Also the side bar gadgets, while not anything original, are a great addition because they are backed by microsoft, which means tons of stable free gadgets.

Yeah.,.. the things i could write about Vista would end up in quite a few pages, since i tend to get random invites to test things (msdn (Microsoft Developer Network)), to bad i cant say it :P

This includes many different kinds of developers: hardware developers interested in the operating system (OS), developers standing on the various OS platforms, developers leveraging the API web sites, newsletters, developer conferences, trade, blogs and DVD distribution. The life cycle of the relationships ranges from legacy support through evangelizing potential offerings.

All those gadgets already exsist on various xp addons -.- they arent doing anything new.

Been testing and reporting since before Vista was beta used it till it got released, then im soo not using it till they fix some serious annoyances and bugs.

Graphics does not make a game for me
to many focus on it and gameplay is... tragic.

Eyecandy is nice but wastefull , reminds me of first games on cd they where nothing but movies and gameplay was -.- ....crap

Yeh its prettier but XP can do exactly the same (winblinds/themexp/proggies) only thing Vista can do xp cant is dx10 (and various things 99.9% of windows users wont touch (security/network settings) ,i will end up using it in 2008 maybe right now theres very little point as the only reason id switch is dx10 games ~.~, wich i know will be blaaah first ones that come out (im not a fan of fps games as they take maybe 1 day to finish)
